I love a sci-fi book that makes almost no sense. The style this book is written in reminds me a lot of the Southern Reach series by Jeff VanderMeer. The story is told by unreliable narrators, who live in an unreliable context. How do you know what is true when you know memory wiping and "blurring" is a thing that exists? How can a reader trust a character when that character has an untrustworthy mind? The fun of this book comes from a novel idea, interesting and brilliant characters, and an evil so scary it can't even be described or perceived.
