Great story with extremely memorable characters. Excellent work of science fiction and one of the best books I've read so far!

This book is fantastic, and very well written. I know some readers feel bogged down by the math and science, but I really appreciated it all. It made the story feel incredibly real and possible, and also shows just how much Andy Weir knows or researched. The way the story is told - bouncing between the present day and flashbacks from the past - is engaging and compelling. It also allows for some interesting twists and reveals. The characters involved are dynamic and enjoyable, and Ray Porter does an awesome job narrating it all, doing different voices and accents for characters from places all over the world. There's a surprising amount of humor and heart in a story so suspenseful and, at times, dark. I'd highly recommend to anyone, even to those who don't usually read sci-fi.
