This movie is a pretty faithful adaptation to the book. Though, the ending is absolutely all added and new. I do think it works for the movie though. The book ends on a delicious cliffhanger, as opposed to the movie ending, which absolutely leaves nothing to the imagination, but does increase the horror factor. It's creepy, and unfortunately still relevant over 50 years later.
